​Education is an integral part of Marshfield Clinic's mission.

Marshfield Clinic Division of Education oversees graduate medical education and student programs, continuing education and conference planning, and other physician and patient support services.​

Te​​a​ching

Many physicians find that teaching enhances their clinical skills. Because hundreds of learners touch Marshfield Clinic's system each year, a wide range of opportunities exist in pre-med, technical and allied health education.

Medical​​ students

Since 1916, Marshfield Clinic has provided preceptor training for the University of Wisconsin Medical School.

Resid​ency programs

Marshfield Clinic and Marshfield Medical Center offer physician residency programs in dermatology, general surgery, internal medicine, pediatrics, combined internal medicine/pediatrics and transitional year.

Fellowships are sponsored in internal medicine, palliative medicine, surgical critical care and post-doctoral psychology.

Continuing​ Education

Marshfield Clinic is accredited by the Wisconsin Medical Society to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Physicians enjoy a wide range of continuing education opportunities. Many continuing education programs are video-conferenced throughout the system.
