Urgent and Emergency Care at Marshfield Clinic

If you are experiencing an emergency, such as chest pain or serious injury, call 911 or go directly to an Emergency Department​.

Whether you go to an Emergency Department or Urgent Care, inform our registration team that you are a Veteran and would like to use VA benefits, or have a loved one do this on your behalf.

To ensure VA coverage, you can report within 72 hours that you visited an Emergency Department by calling 844-724-7842. For Marshfield Clinic Urgent Care, registration will call on your behalf, or you can call 888-901-6609.

Assistance with VA Care in the Community

Our Veteran Service Team is here to assist you with the VA Community Care Program, expanding your health care options beyond the VA's physical walls.

We collaborate with regional VA Medical Centers in Tomah, Iron Mountain, and Minneapolis to streamline the authorization process and ensure you receive the care you deserve.

The VA provides care to Veterans through community providers when VA cannot provide the care needed, including through providers in your local community, like Marshfield Clinic.

7. How do I know if I’m eligible for VA healthcare, or for the VA Care in the Community?
