Marshfield Clinic Health System to provide 1,000 vaccines during walk-in clinic at UW-Stevens Point

April 7, 2021

STEVENS POINT – The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point will host a COVID-19 vaccine walk-in clinic Saturday, April 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Marshfield Clinic Health System Champions Hall (building 5) – Multi Activity Center, 2050 4th Ave., Stevens Point, WI 54481-1910.

Marshfield Clinic Health System will administer 1,000 single-dose Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) COVID-19 vaccines during the walk-in clinic. No appointment is needed as the vaccines will be administered on a first come, first serve basis. Anyone 18 years or older is eligible. Once all vaccines have been administered, the walk-in clinic will close.

"The ability to hold walk-in vaccination clinics allows us to vaccinate more people to help achieve immunity against this disease. Continued use of facemasks and social distancing, along with immunizing Wisconsin residents, will help us soon return to life similar to before the pandemic," said Tammy Simon, RN, MSN, vice president at Marshfield Clinic Health System's Institute for Quality, Innovation and Patient Safety.

Parking is available in lot F-West and V. Free street parking is also available. View campus map here.

"The COVID-19 vaccine provides hope that we are turning the corner to a more familiar, engaging life, which we all crave," said Chancellor Thomas Gibson. "UW-Stevens Point is pleased to provide our facilities and support for this mass vaccination clinic and the promise it holds for those who take advantage of it on Saturday."

UW-Stevens Point requires everyone to wear a face covering and maintaining six feet of physical distancing.
