Idea of Care

With each patient encounter, I provide the best advice I have available. I want to help the patient make a decision best for his/her well-being. I base my advice on both accrued clinical knowledge and personal experience. Often, my advice includes a basic explanation of the disease process at hand, along with encouragement to consider all aspects of decision making – like benefits, risks, side effects, costs, values, societal norms and expert opinions.

Personal Interests

Outside of work, Dr. Fast enjoys helping with Vacation Bible School. He is Christian and finds that his greatest source of joy comes from helping other people through service and teaching. 

Additionally, he and his wife have six kids. Much of their spare time is spent as a family. Dr. Fast also enjoys vacationing to national and state parks, playing basketball, golfing, playing board and card games, and reading.

In the near future, he and his wife hope to have a couple horses and barn cats where they’ve settled in Wausau.
