Idea of Care

I view healthcare as a team sport, with the patient as the most important player. My goal is to treat the whole patient with an inclusive, nonjudgmental approach, focusing on the individual rather than just their diagnoses. 

I encourage patients to feel comfortable asking questions and I’m passionate about increasing their confidence in understanding their health conditions. I want them to feel empowered to advocate for themselves and their families while they navigate their healthcare.

Personal Interests

Growing up in Gladstone, Michigan, Dr. Thompson's goal was always to return to the Upper Peninsula to practice medicine, as that community helped shape her. She enjoys being close to her family and in a small community. 

Outside of work, her interests include drawing, painting, crafting, reading, listening to true crime podcasts, playing video games, swimming, hiking, biking, fishing, kayaking, rockhounding and rock tumbling, and spending time with family and friends.
