A specialist in physical therapy
After seeing how therapy made a huge difference in her mom’s life, Jill Orzehoskie knew that she wanted a career in physical therapy. She started the process in athletic training because of her involvement in tennis and basketball at the collegiate level. From there, her love of providing care transitioned into physical therapy.
"I really like the fact that I get to spend time with people and really get to know them," she said. "I want to understand what’s really important to them, and help my patients understand their body and how to best take care of it for their lifetime."
While working with her patients, Jill said it is rewarding to see them accomplish their goals and get better, especially if they were in pain or debilitated. She strives to make a positive change in their lives.
"It’s most important to help them help themselves," she said. "We do a lot more of teaching patients what to do at home, and work with them to continue their care each day."
After living in Madison, Jill and her family came to Marshfield to be closer to extended family in the Twin Cities and northern Wisconsin. She has two daughters and her greatest joy is spending time with them. Jill likes playing and watching sports, and as a University of Wisconsin-Madison alumnus, she is a Badger fan.
"I’m kind of a kid at heart," she said. "I enjoy tennis a lot; it’s probably one of my favorite things to do outside of work."
