As a certified family nurse practitioner with Cancer Care & Research, Ann Deckers helps people with symptomatic issues related to cancer treatments, the disease itself or many secondary diagnoses.
With a history as a nurse in both oncology and hospice, Ann has spent much of her career serving patients and listening to their needs.
“I believe that the best interests of our patients must drive every decision that we make,” Ann said. “We need to see patients as people first so that they can trust us and be confident that we are advocating for them.”
She has wanted to work in health care as far back as she can remember. She has always wanted to help people return to a state of health. Today Ann values providing excellent care to her patients by making connection with them and their families.
“I really care about what happens to my patients, which is why I strive every day to give them the best care possible,” she said.
Ann received her master’s of science in nursing from Spring Arbor University in Michigan. She is a board-certified family nurse practitioner.
Ann is married and together they have four children and two grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with family, the outdoors and gardening.
