Zillman to lead Marshfield Medical Center-Neillsville

Jan. 24, 2022

NEILLSVILLE – Marshfield Clinic Health System, in conjunction with the Neillsville Community Advisory Board, announced today that Sally Zillman has accepted the role as chief administrative officer of Marshfield Medical Center-Neillsville and regional clinics.

Zillman has served as interim CAO since July of 2021 and is no stranger to health care operations. In her more than three decades in nursing, Zillman brings over 20 years of nursing and operations leadership with roles at Marshfield Clinic Health System, Ascension St. Clare's Hospital in Weston, and Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

“Sally's significant leadership experience and wealth of knowledge in rural health care, coupled with her deep connections with her team, made her the obvious choice to lead our Neillsville operations," said Pat Board, chief administrative officer Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield.

Zillman was chief operating officer at the former Memorial Medical Center through its affiliation and renaming with Marshfield Clinic Health System in 2018. Upon affiliation, she served as administrative director of patient care services and clinic operations Services for Marshfield Medical Center-Neillsville. In her role as CAO, Zillman will work closely with operational leaders to drive the region's strategy and vision, fostering strong relationships within the communities they serve.

The Health System opened its new 100,000 square-foot medical campus in Neillsville in May 2021 featuring a 16-bed hospital and 24/7 emergency department. Zillman also will continue the work of optimizing the new hospital and growing services commensurate with the new facility's capabilities.

Zillman also leads the Neillsville region's COVID-19 response, is the administrative member of MMC-Neillsville Community Advisory Board and serves on the Health System's Clinical Care Operational Leadership Team (CCOLT).  She will continue in these roles as the CAO of MMC-Neillsville.

“Neillsville is a wonderful community and I'm excited to continue my career here," Zillman said. “We have a brand new medical campus that brings easy access to much-needed health care services for Neillsville area residents. Having resources to improve health and quality of life close to home is what makes providing health care in rural Wisconsin special."
