Nicole Holm, DNP

A nurse practitioner in orthopedic surgery

Nicole Holm, a doctor of nursing practice, helps patients with spine conditions and chronic back pain find non-operative and operative solutions to relieve pain.

As someone who experienced a back injury, Nicole feels she can relate to her patients and understand their symptoms. She enjoys her work in orthopedics because she can see the difference her work makes in patient lives, allowing them to get back to the things they enjoy.

Nicole takes a holistic approach to patient care. She strives to get to know each patient to help them make decisions on what course of treatment will best serve their needs. When surgery is needed, she's involved from pre-op, in surgery and through recovery. "Being a part in all aspects of care gives me a better understanding of patient needs to assist them through the healing process," Nicole said.

She has a passion to help people, and believes that starts with listening. "I hope patients feel they were heard, we were knowledgeable and helped with their issue," Nicole said. "Not all problems are able to be immediately resolved, but mend in time. Our goals are to help decrease their pain level and guide them on the right path in healing for the most positive outcomes."

Nicole earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice and Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She is a board-certified family nurse practitioner.
