Ernest Hall, APRN, CNP

A nurse practitioner in psychiatry

"In my field, it’s vital to listen. Not just to make a diagnosis, but to make a plan that people embrace because they have taken part in creating it. Shared decision making is a dynamic approach with the patient at the center of their personalized care," said Ernest Hall.

Ernest began his career in health care in California as a cardiac ICU nurse at a high acuity international heart institute hospital. While he enjoyed the fast-paced environment of critical care, he had a personal pull toward the behavioral health field following a mental health concern in a family member.

Through his job as a cardiac nurse, he also realized he had a special ability to connect with patients and their families. Patients trusted him and he was able to help them through difficult or confusing situations.

Ernest is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, receiving his Master of Science in nursing degree from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

He sees adult patients for mental and behavioral health concerns and treatments, including depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, personality disorders and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as well as many others.

Outside of work, Ernest enjoys all things outdoors and going on road trips. He has visited all 48 contiguous states.
