I believe that optimizing gastrointestinal health can make a meaningful difference in a patient’s quality of life. No one should have to navigate these conditions without the support of a specialist. I am especially passionate about supporting the needs of rural and underserved populations.

Personal Interests

Although his family is from the Midwest, Dr. Schroeder grew up in small-town California, worked his first job out of college in the South and completed his medical training in New York.

In his free time, he enjoys technical and engineering hobbies and is the author of open-source software used to control engraving lasers. He is interested in architecture, horticulture, sustainability and distributed infrastructure. He also loves spending time with his pet cat.
