Provider Bio down arrow

Tammi Timmler is a registered dietitian in Nutrition and Diabetes Services. She sees a wide variety of patients. Some of her patients have special dietary needs because of epilepsy, diabetes, cystic fibrosis or other chronic diseases.

“I can make a difference in the lives of children and their families, and I really enjoy that,” she said. “I try to listen to what the child and parents have to say, then give them my recommendations for what will work best for their individual needs.”

She’s part of a multidisciplinary team that works together to treat children and adults with epilepsy. Many times these patients benefit from the ketogenic diet, a special high fat diet that helps control epileptic seizures. Marshfield Clinic is one of four clinics in Wisconsin that use dietary therapy (ketogenic or modified Atkins diet) to treat epilepsy.

Tammi grew up in the Greenwood area. She earned her master’s degree in nutritional services from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and is also a certified diabetes educator. She and her husband have two sons who keep them busy with school sports and other activities.
