Our approach to care
The staff of Marshfield Clinic Woodruff Center takes the time to listen to you. A functional approach is taken to help you regain maximum mobility. We look at the entire musculoskeletal system to treat the root causes of pain.
Patient programs are individualized so your healing time is faster. We believe in being an integral part of your care, and providing on-going guidance in advancing your program as you respond to treatment. We have the clinical expertise to help you progress according to your condition and to your needs.
The facilities at Marshfield Clinic Woodruff Center provide community wellness opportunities, evident in the wellness gym space, clinical treatment areas and warm water pool.
We offer diverse opportunities for patients and clients to optimize their general health and functional status. We presently provide physical medicine, physical therapy, wellness classes and a warm water current therapeutic pool.
Woodruff Center incorporates the outdoors into physical rehabilitation with its unique Therapeutic Hill. The Therapeutic Hill provides an obstacle course in a fun, "real life" setting that challenges patients and helps them develop strength and agility. The hill features varying degrees of steepness, log and rock climbing, a tire wall, sand pit and tunnel. The adjacent level grass area is used for outdoor classes, soccer and physical therapy.
Patients at Woodruff Center can enjoy the many benefits of aquatic therapy. An on-site Aquatic Therapy program is provided by licensed physical therapists and many of our Aquatic Classes are taught by an Arthritis Foundation Trained Instructor. The uniquely designed on-site aquatic therapy pool provides a safe and easily-tolerated environment for accelerated rehabilitation. The therapeutic pool is also available for independent use.
