Trevor Koslowski, nurse practitioner, values the meaningful work found in the health care field and helping others.
“I want to help the people in the community that I grew up in," Trevor said. “Primary care requires the practitioner to be the jack of all trades, allowing each day to be unique and interesting. There is always more to learn."
Trevor received his associate degree in nursing from Fox Valley Technical College. He completed his Master of Science in nursing degree from Herzing University.
He worked in Park Falls and Phillips for three years before starting as a nurse practitioner.
“I couldn't imagine working with any other staff. The people at our clinics are amazing," he said.
He provides preventive care and treatment for chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease. He has a special interest in obesity medicine, wellness and sports performance and has experience in managing heart disease and cardiac problems. Trevor sees patients ages 12 and older.
He takes the time to listen to each patient and understand their story to provide the best care.
“I like to learn how each patient's health affects their life and make a plan together that best suits their lifestyle," he said.
He also enjoys educating and encouraging patients to build healthy lifestyle habits.
“I love when we can take medicines off the list when appropriate. I am happy to prescribe when appropriate, but if we can improve health without medication, that makes me the happiest," Trevor said.
Outside of work, he enjoys everything the Northwoods offers, including fishing, hunting and anything outside. He also enjoys the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers.
He and his wife grew up in Phillips and they now have two boys.
