Steve Hoffmeister joined Marshfield Clinic Minocqua’s Physical Therapy team in 2000.

As an experienced physical therapist, Mr. Hoffmeister treats patients with orthopedic and musculoskeletal issues including sports, joint and soft tissue injuries. He also provides rehabilitation following orthopedic surgeries.

Mr. Hoffmeister’s practice includes a range of rehabilitative modalities but emphasis is placed on therapeutic exercise and manual techniques such as joint and soft tissue mobilization to help restore a patient’s function. He has an interest in treating vestibular problems, which are often associated with dizziness and balance difficulties.

“As a physical therapist, I try to focus on removing physical and emotional barriers to healing and try to empower my patients to manage their own conditions,” says Mr. Hoffmeister. In addition to customized clinic rehabilitation treatments, he creates in-home exercise programs and activity modification plans and provides education to improve his patient’s quality of life.

Mr. Hoffmeister is a Milwaukee native who moved to the Northwoods to pursue a rural/outdoorsy lifestyle. He likes reading and spending time with his wife and two children. The family enjoys many outdoor activities including hiking, biking, hunting and kayaking.

Mr. Hoffmeister received his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He is licensed to practice in Wisconsin.
