From the first moment she stepped on campus at University of Wisconsin – Green Bay, Rebeca Argiro knew she wanted to be a therapist.

“I wanted to help people navigate difficult times in their life," she said. “I chose behavioral health because so much of life satisfaction and overall health relates to mental health."

She sees patients age 14 and older, and her previous experience as a teacher gives her a unique insight into working with younger patients. Rebeca specifically works with patients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder and adjustment disorders.

A collaborative approach is central to Rebeca's method of treating patients. She believes in open communication and incorporating patients' goals into the treatment plan.

“I also believe that the therapeutic relationship is critical to building rapport and trust that leads to better success rates with patients," she said.

Rebeca has a special passion for working with the veteran and military populations due to the unique nature of their work and her understanding of the barriers to success these groups encounter. She served in the United States Army.

In addition to her bachelor's degree from Green Bay, Rebeca earned her master's degree in counseling from Concordia University Wisconsin. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters, as well as golfing, reading, camping, snowmobiling and traveling.
