“I enjoy the problem solving that correlates to patient care and being able to see people get back to the things that they love the most."
A strong desire to help people led Dr. Priya Timothy to pursue a degree in medicine.
“The first step in identifying any medical problem is listening to the patient and getting their history," she said.
Dr. Timothy initially had an interest in biology so furthering her education into medicine was a natural choice. She went on to specialize in Allergy and Immunology because of the ability to see patients of all ages in a field where health and environment interconnect.
“I love both the allergy aspect and immune deficiency aspects. I enjoy putting it all together to provide the best possible patient care," she said.
Dr. Timothy is board-certified in Allergy and Immunology, Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. She earned a medical degree from American University of Antigua in Antigua, West Indies. She completed her residency in combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics at Marshfield Medical Center and a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the University of South Florida/Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Dr. Timothy is a native of Michigan and spent a lot of time in Wisconsin as a child. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking and being outdoors.
