“I am caring and compassionate, providing care specialized to my patient’s needs, not just a cookie cutter treatment.”
When in college, Nicole Dilger sustained
a meniscal tear in her knee while training
for a half marathon. Her experience
working with her physical therapist to
get back to her training schedule also
changed her career outlook.
“I was an engineering major, but I
realized I wanted to help people and
make a difference in their everyday lives,
so I switched majors,” she said.
Nicole helps patients from head to toe.
She provides rehabilitation for orthopedic
and musculoskeletal conditions as well as
general neurological cases. She describes
her approach as hands on, using manual
therapy techniques when working with
soft tissue needs or joint issues.
“I think that patient interaction and
outcomes drive my practice. I want to get know them, their backgrounds and where they want to get back to,” she said. “I enjoy helping patients reach their goals and feel like I’m making a difference in their lives.”
Before joining Marshfield Clinic Health System, Nicole worked as a traveling therapist. After spending time at several central Wisconsin centers, she was drawn back when a permanent position became available. “I gained great experiences from traveling, but Marshfield Clinic Health System was the puzzle piece that fit into my goals and helped me make the decision to settle,” Nicole said.
Nicole earned her doctorate degree in physical therapy from University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Marcos, California.
When not at work, Nicole enjoys being
in nature, going hiking and enjoying
the scenery.
