As a nurse practitioner, Nancy Gerum, N.P., will help monitor your condition for changes or improvements. This includes providing updates on lab work, imaging and answering questions.
Nancy has many years of experience in oncology and chose Marshfield Clinic Health System because it has a record of excellent physicians, staff and care.
"I like the fact that a patient can have all of their specialties in one practice, including outpatient and inpatient care, making continuity of care much easier," Nancy said. "I believe it is important for patients and their families to have knowledge about their disease and treatment - and be encouraged to ask questions and actively participate in their care."
She has been coming to Minocqua since she was a child, so the area feels like home to her.
"My parents built a summer home up here and I spent my entire summers here as a child. I spent most of my time in the water, sitting in the woods looking for deer or walking to the little local store. We still have the cottage and I have been coming up here every year for vacation," Nancy said.
She completed her master's degree through Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois after achieving her bachelor's degree at Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois.
In her spare time, Nancy enjoys quilting and reading.
