As a nurse, Nadine Klesmith is driven to care for people.
She received her Bachelor of Science in nursing degree from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida and her Master of Science in nursing degree from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.
Klesmith is nurse practitioner in the Heart Failure Improvement Clinic in Weston. She sees both sick and healthy patients for chronic and complicated heart conditions. While providing patient care, she strives to educate them about staying healthy or helps them work toward better care for themselves so their health improves.
“My goal is to listen to my patients," Klesmith said. “I am honest about their condition and want to provide available resources to educate them about their condition."
She enjoys getting to see her patients and talk to them.
“Hearing about their home and work lives and how these may affect their health is important to know," she said. “As a nurse practitioner, education is always a part of our visits."
Outside of work, Klesmith volunteers at her church. She also sews quilts that she donates to Project Linus, which provides blankets to children who are in need.
