Dr. Marium Khan is a fellowship-trained and board-certified pediatrician. She specializes in critical care, helping children who are in the hospital with life-threatening illnesses or injuries like respiratory failure, sepsis, trauma, congenital heart disease, post-surgery care or multiorgan dysfunction.
“During residency, I became inspired by the complexity and teamwork involved in caring for critically ill children," Khan said. “The PICU is a fast-paced environment. Working within it requires precision decision making and compassionate communication."
Khan said she recognizes these families are navigating some of the most stressful moments of their lives. She believes leading with empathy and offering evidence-based, collaborative care can impact their experience and outcomes.
“My approach is rooted in respect for the trust families place in us and in the responsibility we have to honor that trust through excellence in care," Khan said.
In her spare time, Dr. Khan enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, visiting the local YMCA and spending time with her family. Her husband is a vascular surgeon and they live in Marshfield, where they hope to start and raise their family.
