“I want to make people feel better so they can do the things they enjoy.”

As an athlete herself, Lindsey Theis, P.T., knew what physical therapy could do for a patient. After she tore her ACL playing volleyball her senior year of high school, Theis had orthopedic surgery performed by Dr. David Simenstad, then went through physical therapy for 12-14 weeks.

“I learned a ton during this process,” she said. “I played college volleyball less than a year after and I never had any problems since. It pretty much led to me this profession.”

After earning her degree in Minnesota, Theis worked at a sports medicine clinic for three years before returning near her hometown.

“I grew up in Loyal,” she said. “I wanted to move closer to my family.”

Theis can help with a variety of injuries and ailments. Her focus is to get to know the patient and to help them get back to their life.

“I always try to make sure my patients learn something to improve their quality of life,” she said.

Outside of work, Theis enjoys sports like volleyball and softball, and being active. She loves to spend time with family, including her husband, who also works at Marshfield Clinic Health System in the research institute. His dream is to have a hobby farm, which she said they plan to have now at their new home.

“I hope my patients have fun in therapy,” she said. “I look forward to getting to know all them.”
