Provider Bio down arrow

Leah enjoys working closely with patients and families to support communication, cognition, and swallowing in meaningful and practical ways. As a speech-language pathologist, she provides care in both outpatient and acute-care settings, working with patients across a wide range of ages and medical needs.

Leah works with pediatric and adult patients with speech sound disorders, cognitive-communication impairments, voice disorders, and dysphagia. She has a particular interest in skilled infant feeding and early feeding development, as well as the assessment and treatment of swallowing disorders in medical settings.

She also works with individuals with neurological conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, and Parkinson’s disease. Leah incorporates principles from the SPEAK OUT!® therapy program when working with individuals with Parkinson’s disease and related neurological conditions to support vocal clarity and functional communication.

Leah takes a patient-centered, functional approach to therapy, using real-life tasks and evidence-based strategies to support carryover beyond therapy sessions. She values collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and ongoing professional learning to provide high-quality care.

Outside of work, Leah enjoys spending time with her family, staying active, getting outdoors, and watching the Milwaukee Brewers whenever she can.
