Dr. Kevin Thao is a Wausau native with a longstanding objective to serve rural Wisconsin.
“I rotated as a medical student in the Marshfield Clinic system and have always wanted to work for the organization since graduating from medical school and residency," Dr. Thao said.
He now offers a broad spectrum of medical care as a board-certified family medicine physician. That includes minor ailments, along with chronic conditions like hypertension and mental health challenges like depression and anxiety. Dr. Thao is bilingual in the English and Hmong languages.
“I enjoy my time listening to patients and getting to know them for who they are," he said. “I like to learn about their stories, families and goals in life, and then be a partner in their health journey."
Dr. Thao is married and has four sons. His family enjoys spending time outdoors, and can often be found biking, hiking or kayaking on Wisconsin's lakes and rivers.
