"I am committed to patient-centered care, ensuring that patients are actively involved in their care and treatment plans."
Kayla Frieders, PA-C, interest in becoming a Physician Assistant (PA) was sparked early on and solidified through her academic journey and shadowing experiences.
"My interest in women's health was ignited during a rotation with the OB-GYN group in Weston," Kayla said. “I love caring for women and seeing them develop throughout their different stages of life."
Kayla is particularly enthusiastic about procedural aspects of medicine, enjoying both surgical and in-office procedures such as IUD insertions and other contraceptive methods. Her personal experience of becoming a mother has further reinforced her passion for obstetrics and gynecology, as she cherishes the opportunity to care for pregnant women and their babies.
“I strive to be a good listener and advocate for a holistic approach that addresses all of my patients' needs," she said.
Kayla is a local to the area, having attended DC Everest High School. She is excited to serve her community and bring her skills and dedication to the OB-GYN department.
Outside of work, Kayla enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband and their son. They love being adventurous, hiking up Rib Mountain, camping and biking. Kayla also coaches soccer, assisting with the DC Everest girls varsity soccer team, particularly as a goalie coach.
