“Managing routine medical problems becomes much more complex in cancer patients, but I like the challenges and opportunities for discoveries and advancements in cancer treatment."
As someone who is drawn to challenges, solving complex issues and using his vast medical training and experience to help patients, Dr. Kareem Abdelhadi is fulfilling those passions as a medical oncologist. He sees patients at all levels of their cancer journey and spends time getting to know them as individuals.
“I enjoy the patient-doctor relationship that develops with my cancer patients," Dr. Abdelhadi said. “I get great satisfaction from knowing that I am providing a real benefit to my patients, and that feeling is why I chose this as my career track."
Dr. Abdelhadi earned his medical degree from the University of Jordan College of Medicine in Amman, Jordan. He served his fellowship in the Malignant Hematology and Medical Oncology Department at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. His background also includes geriatric internal medicine at the same medical facility.
In his spare time, Dr. Abdelhadi and his wife enjoy dining out, watching movies and playing table tennis.
