“I want my patients to feel heard and for them to have access to resources in order to best navigate their health care and make educated decisions."
Kaitlyn Hogden is a board-certified nurse practitioner treating patients who visit urgent care. She treats a wide variety of conditions like infections, cold and influenza symptoms allergic reactions, sprains and fractures, wounds and more.
Collaboration is key and shared when addressing health concerns. “I want patients to feel like I am sitting beside them in the exam room, working together to determine the best route of care," Hogden said. She does this by educating her patients about their options and supporting them to help determine the right treatment plan.
“I am truly passionate about advocating for my patients," she said. “I want to help patients get back to their friends and family to keep enjoying their daily lives in the best quality they can."
The passion and challenges of modern-day health care led Hodgen to medicine, and she was further inspired to become a nurse practitioner after the holistic, compassionate care she experienced with her primary care provider. “I wanted to be that person for others," she said.
Hodgen earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and her Bachelor of Science of Nursing from UW-Eau Claire.
While not at work, Hogden enjoys hiking, running, reading, yoga, exploring new areas and spending time with family and friends.
