Dr. Justin Schoen joined the staff of Marshfield Clinic Health System in 2008. Dr. Schoen (pronounced Shane) was born and raised in Gwinn, Michigan, a small town in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. He earned his medical degree from Michigan State University and completed his residency training at the University of Wisconsin.

Marshfield was an easy choice for a practice location for Dr. Schoen, he said, “hands down.” Dr. Schoen and his wife saw Marshfield as a city that could provide many opportunities for their young family. They met many kind and friendly people which had an impact on their decision.

Other factors that led Dr. Schoen to choose Marshfield Clinic Health System as his practice location included continued opportunities in neuromodulation and teaching medical students. Dr. Schoen is the site director for the psychiatry portion of the Wisconsin Academy for Rural Medicine (WARM) program through the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

In his free time, Dr. Schoen enjoys spending time with friends and family, being outdoors, traveling, and physical fitness.
