Following an entry-level speech and hearing course, Jodi Wilske, AuD, became fascinated by the anatomy and physiology of how we hear, speak and communicate with one another.
“I liked that it involved helping people of all ages and demographics," she said. “It's also a specialty that allows providers to spend time with patients and develop a relationship over years."
Dr. Wilske completed her Master of Arts in Audiology at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and her Doctor of Audiology degree at the University of Florida.
She is a board-certified audiologist.
She sees and treats patients for conditions including hearing loss and tinnitus. She also provides comprehensive hearing evaluations and assists with hearing aid selection, fitting and follow-ups.
Dr. Wilske is especially passionate about providing care for patients who need hearing aids.
“For some patients, this is a life-changing event," she said.
During each appointment, she personalizes care to each patient.
“I aim to make patients feel like they have been heard, ensure adequate time has been spent with them and they are comfortable asking questions," she said.
Outside of work, Dr. Wilske enjoys spending time outside running, hiking, snowshoeing, canoeing and fishing. She also enjoys reading and cooking.
