“I most enjoy seeing improvement in patients over time and knowing we worked together as a team to achieve these goals."
After changing her major her sophomore year of college and starting nursing school, Jenna Goodwin knew she had found a career path she was truly passionate about.
Goodwin, a pain management nurse practitioner, shares she can still say the same thing about her career, now six years into the field of nursing.
“A career in health care is fulfilling because you can provide help to individuals in some of their most vulnerable situations and can truly make a difference in people's lives," she said.
Goodwin received her Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of North Dakota.
She sees patients for conditions such as neck and back pain, chronic pain conditions and fibromyalgia.
“The most important element in providing patient care is active listening and maintaining communication with my patients," she said.
As a provider, she enjoys seeing improvement in her patients over time and knowing that she worked together with them as a team to achieve those goals.
Outside of work, Goodwin enjoys reading, playing volleyball, hunting and other outdoor activities and spending time with her friends and family. She and her husband, Delten, have an Irish Setter Doodle named Bindi.
