"I treat my patients with care and respect. When I'm in an appointment with a patient, they are my entire focus."
Jeff Poole, a cardiology physician assistant spends most of his time in helping patients with conditions like acute coronary syndromes, arrhythmia and heart failure.
"I work with cardiologists as part of a team to provide the best care possible."
In his role as a physician assistant, he makes himself available as an information resource for patients and family members. "I believe in providing detailed explanations to patients so they can better understand and manage their disease," he says.
He also helps people lower their blood pressure and cholesterol numbers and lose weight. "It's satisfying when you help the cardiologist bring a patient back from the brink, but it's just as gratifying to hear from people you've helped in other, smaller ways that made a big difference in their quality of life."
Jeff Poole grew up in the Wausau area and is part of an extended family that includes several medical providers. His wife is also a physician assistant, working in urgent care. They have five daughters. As a family, they enjoy vacation travel and playing Wii games together.
Jeff Poole received his physician assistant master's degree at Finch University of Health Sciences – Chicago Medical School.
