“As a nurse practitioner, I prioritize being a listener. I invest time in understanding my patients."
From a young age, Nurse Practitioner Heidi Neuhauser nurtured a passion for helping others. Her interest in the human body led her to nursing. With over 15 years of experience as a nurse, she advanced her career to take on greater responsibilities, make critical decisions and develop care plans tailored to her patient's needs.
“Drawing on my experience in acute care, including emergency and urgent care, as well as my academic background, occupational health provides a unique opportunity to integrate many of my passions," Heidi said.
She focuses on the holistic well-being of the worker, addressing mind, body and spirit, while also emphasizing workplace safety, acute care management and the overall work environment. Heidi is a grounded and approachable person, making it easy for anyone to strike up a conversation with her.
“My calming presence creates a relaxed atmosphere, and as a great listener, I truly value what others have to say," she said. “Plus, I have a wealth of knowledge to share, making our chats both enriching and enjoyable."
Heidi and her husband have two daughters. She enjoys gardening, reading, walking or hiking in nature, and going to sporting events. Her husband has been a pipefitter for more than 20 years, and shares insights about the construction industry, so she said she feels well-prepared to work with patients from similar backgrounds.
