Being naturally curious has fueled Dr. Haytham Hasan's interest in pathology.

“Pathology is a wonderful field for physicians, like myself, who love to ask 'why' and love to explore the science that explains disease, diagnostic testing, and treatment," he said.

As a pathologist specializing in transfusion medicine, Dr. Hasan's work helps patients with a wide variety of acute and chronic blood disorders such as severe hemorrhage, anemia, and leukemia.

“I continue to be amazed by the things I see as a pathologist," he said.

Dr. Hasan enjoys collaborating with physicians from various medical fields such as surgery, anesthesiology, hematology and oncology to achieve the best results for patients. “I approach each patient's case with their unique needs in mind," he said.

Dr. Hasan earned his doctorate of medicine from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He completed his residency at the University of Chicago (North Shore) in Evanston, Illinois, and completed the transfusion fellowship program at UW Health in Madison, Wisconsin.
