When Britny Poplawski was in kindergarten, her introduction poster said she wanted to be 'a nurse and a mommy'. It's been her goal for much of her life to work in the medical field. Following nursing school, she quickly knew she wanted to continue her education and become a provider, allowing her to help patients in even more meaningful ways.
Poplawski earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah. She later completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
As a family medicine nurse practitioner, she sees patients of all ages, including newborns. She provides wellness visits, preventive care, treatment for illnesses or injuries and chronic disease management, including care for diabetes, hypertension, depression and anxiety. Poplawski has a passion for women's health and is trained in IUD and Nexplanon procedures.
“I am a huge advocate for preventive medicine and helping patients maintain their health for as long as they can," she said. “I look forward to participating in the health of entire families."
Poplawski also believes in a holistic approach to care.
“I care for my patients physically, but also mentally and emotionally," she said. “I want my patients to feel heard, valued and cared for."
Poplawski is married and has three boys. She and her husband enjoy spending time with their children, supporting their sports and hobbies and taking the boat out on the lake and fishing.
