Provider Bio down arrow

Bridget Flaten is a physical therapist who helps patients with a variety of orthopedic concerns including post-operative rehabilitation for shoulders, hips, knees and spine. She works with the general population and specializes in helping athletes with pain, injuries and other health conditions.

Flaten was an athlete and has always been interested in how the body works. The experience of working through her own injuries along with a desire to solve puzzles led her to a career in physical therapy.

“I want to help people understand their body better, and know that exercise can sometimes be more powerful than medication," Flaten said. “I particularly enjoy working with lower extremity injuries because of my experience in that area, and because the foot is a complex part of the body that has a large impact on how we move and function."

Flaten is passionate about getting her patients moving early and often.

“I love being able to help improve a patient's body awareness, teach them how to move without pain and empower them with tools to manage their symptoms independently," Flaten said.

Flaten earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy degree and bachelor's degree from Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

In her spare time, Flaten enjoys staying active with her husband, baking, doing crafts and playing with her dogs.
