“I enjoy forming relationships with my patients and working to help them achieve their goals."
Andrew Brummond, physician assistant, was introduced to the medical field early in life after experiencing multiple sports injuries.
“I began to learn about it and decided to pursue a career in the health care field," he said. “I knew I wanted to go into a surgical specialty and had an interest in cardiothoracic surgery. During my rotation in cardiothoracic surgery, I discovered my passion for it and knew I wanted to pursue this area of medicine."
Brummond earned his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Oklahoma City University.
He sees patients for coronary artery disease, heart valvular disease, aortic aneurysms and dissections and has specialized expertise in chest tube management.
Brummond values building strong relationships with his patients and working closely with them to achieve their health goals.
“I make sure my patients fully understand their care so they can make informed decisions," he said.
He also strives to make a treatment plan that fits their individual needs.
Outside of work, Brummond enjoys hiking, camping, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
