Dr. Yasmin’s gynecology practice offers services such as adolescent gynecology, care of abnormal uterine bleeding patterns, annual preventive gynecology exams, contraceptive counseling, menopausal care, surgical procedures of minimal invasive surgeries like vaginal and robotic laparoscopic hysterectomies, vaginal prolapse repairs and female urinary incontinence.
She also focuses on services at Marshfield Clinic Health System’s Women’s Intimacy Clinic in Wausau and Weston, a service that provides female patients a chance to discuss their needs regarding their sexuality concerns in various stages of their life. Sexual health and sexual dysfunction changes can happen during adolescence, after pregnancy and childbirth, menopause and with normal aging. These changes also can occur with onset of chronic disease, sexual trauma, disability, cancer, and can also affect various sexual minorities.
“I have received additional training and qualifications to take care of women with such intimacy concerns,” said Dr. Yasmin. “It is really about helping women have a significantly better quality of life by giving them that special caring time in alignment with updated scientifically accurate information.”
Dr. Yasmin earned her medical degree at Mysore University in India, and completed her residency at Magee-Women’s Hospital/University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She also has received advanced OBGYN training in United Kingdom and as ‘Sexuality Educator and Sexuality counseling’ training at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
Outside her practice, Dr. Yasmin and her husband, who also is a physician, and their son enjoy a wide variety of outdoor activities. She has a passion for fitness and clean nutrition. She loves hiking, cooking, travel and reading.
