“I want patients to see me as someone who is empathetic, listens to their concerns and helps them make the best decisions.”
Robyn Smith, N.P., joined the Regional
Cancer Center in Eau Claire after seven
years as a cardiology nurse practitioner
at Marshfield Clinic Marshfield Center.
“I have always had an interest in oncology,”
Robyn said. “I love learning new things and
was ready for the challenges and rewards
of cancer care.”
Above all, she enjoys personal interaction
“I love getting to know patients and their
families and helping them through difficult
times,” Robyn said. “I want them to know
someone is there to talk and listen. I spend
as much time as possible answering their questions so they understand what’s happening with their treatment.”
Robyn earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She is board-certified as an adult nurse practitioner.
Robyn is happy to return to Eau Claire, where she and her husband, Tim, raised their four children. She enjoys spending time with her family, camping, fishing, boating, sewing and reading.
