Dr. Jamal Ahmed sees a diverse range of patients with an assortment of health issues from needing cancer surgery to problems with ear, nose/sinus, throat, thyroid and parathyroid diseases.
Dr. Ahmed treats a wide variety of these ear, nose and throat (ENT) disorders in both adults and children and specializes in the surgical treatment of head and neck cancer and complex reconstructive surgery.
“ENT problems affect how you interact with the world,” said Dr. Ahmed. “The symptoms can be severe, and can make you feel isolated from the world and other people. I enjoy helping people get relief from their symptoms and get back to feeling like themselves.”
The most common reasons for otolaryngology visits are problems with hearing, ear infection, sinus issues and nasal congestion.
“Head and neck cancers are devastating diseases which dramatically impact your ability to eat, drink, speak, breathe and can affect your appearance,” said Dr. Ahmed. “Our goal is to provide options for the best chance of a cure while maintaining function and quality of life.”
Dr. Ahmed graduated from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York in 2013. He completed his internship in 2014 and residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in 2018, at the University of Miami in Miami, Florida. He completed his fellowship at the University of Wisconsin in Madison in 2019 specializing in head
and neck oncology and microvascular reconstructive surgery.
He enjoys playing guitar in his spare time and spending time with his wife.
