“My role is to care for patients by attending to their physical, social and psychological needs”
Diane Joyce’s long career in nursing has enabled her to serve patients throughout Wisconsin. This board-certified nurse practitioner’s experience includes working as a nurse practitioner in cardiology, along with a 22-year stint as an intensive care nurse. The Wisconsin native has also taught nursing. This variety of experience serves Joyce well in her current role in Cardiology.
“I work collaboratively not only with the cardiologists but also with the wide range of health care providers at Marshfield Clinic, with a focus on care for patients who have heart failure conditions,” Joyce said. “I extend patient access, providing health care to meet the goal of improving heart failure outcomes by alleviating patients’ symptoms and by attempting to reduce hospitalizations.”
Joyce earned her nurse practitioner degree at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
Joyce and her husband are the parents of two adult children. She enjoys reading, downhill skiing and long-distance biking.
