Internal Medicine Residency Program
Applications
Thank you for your interest in the Marshfield Clinic/St. Joseph's Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program. We accept applications for July 2009 through Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) (NO PAPER or E-MAIL).
We need the following information with your application: Transcripts from USMLE and ECFMG, two letters of recommendation and your Dean's Letter.
We do accept international graduates and currently have several in our program. We accept H1 (Step 3 results must be received by January 31st) and J1 Visas.
Our criteria for considering applications:
Applications will not be considered if more than 10 years since Medical School graduation unless candidate has been in a US Residency during this time.
You must have graduated from Medical School within the past five (5) years AND meet one of the two items listed below:
1) 210> on Step 1 and Step 2 of the USMLE (If you failed Step 1 or 2 more than once, your application will NOT be considered)
2) Four months or more of recent "hands-on" U.S. Clinical Experience. (NOT research or observing)
The 5 year from medical school may be waived if candidate meets #2 above.
If you meet the above criteria, your application will be reviewed with all applicants who have meet the same criteria. From this group of candidates we will select 30-40 candidates for interviews. We will notify candidates of their status via ERAS e-mail.
You do not need to have an ECFMG Certificate to apply. Application Deadline is January 1st, however, as we tend to fill interview openings early I would suggest you have your application submitted by November 1st if not earlier
