MARSHFIELD – Robert “Bob" Chaloner joined Marshfield Clinic Health System in July as president of the Marshfield and Neillsville region, which includes Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, Marshfield Medical Center-Neillsville and surrounding medical centers.
Chaloner has more than 35 years of health care executive and operational leadership in hospitals and health systems. Since 2006, he served multiple roles, including president and CEO, with Southampton Hospital Association, which supports Stony Brook Southampton hospital in Southampton, New York. Among his accomplishments at Stony Brook were driving the financial restoration of the hospital, leading expansion and revitalizations of medical staff, overseeing introduction and growth of teaching programs and reestablished quality, and patient performance to restore community, board, governmental and provider trust in clinical services.
“I am very excited to join and support the team at Marshfield Clinic Health System," Chaloner said. “I was initially attracted by the world-class reputation of this organization and am already so impressed with all I have seen in Marshfield and Neillsville. I look forward to working with all in the community. I am thrilled to be living in Marshfield and excited to start exploring all this community has to offer."
Chaloner oversees the day-to-day operational leadership of the Marshfield and Neillsville region, working closely with Sally Zillman, vice president of operations and patient care services for Neillsville, Dr. Sumithra Tirunagaram, interim vice president of medical affairs, and Dr. Tim Golemgeski, associate vice president of medical affairs role of the region. Vicki Varsho, who served as interim president at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, will continue as the region's chief nursing officer.
