PARK FALLS – Marshfield Medical Center-Park Falls began its partial-hospital replacement project this month, building on Marshfield Clinic Health System's commitment to the Price County area.
The $35 million project announced in 2021 is aided by a $20 million grant from the Healthcare Infrastructure Capital Investment Grant Program. The project will result in a state-of-the-art medical campus addressing the facility's aging infrastructure, improving outdated inpatient rooms, creating a dedicated urgent care space, and bringing new sleep study and retail pharmacy services to the hospital.
In addition to the construction of new hospital spaces, new flooring, furniture, and lighting upgrades will enhance the Park Falls Medical Offices to align with the look and feel of the new campus. The new hospital space will be constructed in two phases while the hospital and medical offices remain fully functional. Completion of the entire project is targeted for 2025.

During 2022, Marshfield Medical Center-Park Falls has:
- Attended to over 4,500 emergency room visits
- Treated and discharged nearly 400 patients from the hospital
- Conducted nearly 700 outpatient surgeries
- Conducted over 45,000 outpatient appointments

Marshfield Clinic Health System is partnering with Miron Construction Co. Inc. as the project's general contractor and the architecture firm BWBR.
