BEAVER DAM –
Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS) has completed its affiliation with
Beaver Dam Community Hospitals, Inc. (BDCH), ensuring residents in Dodge County continue to have local access to high-quality, safe health care. The two organizations have already begun integrating services. In the months ahead, the rural health care model in the region will further transform, expanding the level of services offered and broadening access to new programs and technology.
"We are committed to keeping care local for our communities because we know that so often access to care is a major challenge in rural areas. Through this affiliation, the number of specialties and subspecialties available in the Beaver Dam community will expand, which will ensure better access to care for thousands of families," said Dr. Susan Turney, chief executive officer of Marshfield Clinic Health System."
Dr. Turney added that the affiliation will also provide access to innovative technologies.
"This hospital has served Beaver Dam and the surrounding communities for nearly 100 years and our commitment to the community remains the same," said Joseph J. Gilene, FACHE, Interim Chief Administrative Officer at Beaver Dam Community Hospitals, Inc. "The physicians, nurses and staff here will continue to serve the health care needs of the community for many years to come, along with expanded access to the expertise of MCHS."
Specific terms of the affiliation are not being released.
