Marshfield Clinic’s Primary care clerkship provides medical students with a special opportunity to learn in the context of caring for their patients.
Clerkship features
Through direct clinical and non-clinical learning experiences, students will have exposure to many common medical conditions in a supportive, learning-friendly environment in which students, house staff, and faculty are encouraged to develop and refine physician skills.
Marshfield Clinic recognizes the importance of providing a learning experience in the office practice of primary care and an opportunity to progress in the areas of clinical data gathering skills, communication skills, clinical decision-making skills, information management skills, and a commitment to health promotion and disease prevention.
Marshfield Clinic centers, including Colby/Abbotsford, Marshfield, Merrill, Mosinee, Stratford and Rice Lake Center host Primary Care clerkships. Eau Claire Primary Care experiences are scheduled through the UW Health Eau Claire Family Practice Residency program.
