Dr. Darga always wanted to help people and found the human body amazing. She chose psychiatry because of how her care is individualized to each patient. She gets to know her patients and finds the best solution to get their mental health on track.
“Psychiatry is a specialty where I can build life-long physician-patient relationships and learn about people in ways that most people never will," she said.
Dr. Darga is board-certified in psychiatry. She cares for patients with conditions like depression, anxiety, bipolar, schizophrenia, PTSD, ADHD and addiction.
Her philosophy of care focuses on sharing risks and benefits of all treatment options and then, collaborating with her patients to meet their needs. She encourages patients to make lifestyle changes with their sleep, exercise, diet and substance use because she knows this can have a significant effect on their mental health.
After training in New Orleans, she returned to Wisconsin to be closer to family. Born and raised in Wisconsin, she spent time in the Northwoods and is proud to give back to the community.
Dr. Darga and her husband, Michael, have two children, Trey and Lola. They enjoy spending time together as a family. She also enjoys good food, specifically taste testing King Cakes.
