Marshfield Clinic offers breast cancer support group meetings

Marshfield Clinic offers free group meetings to provide a range of support for survivors and anyone currently facing breast cancer.

The Women Living with Hope breast cancer support groups meet the third Monday of each month in Marshfield and Weston. The meetings provide information on breast cancer, and emotional and practical support in a comfortable setting. Meetings typically include guest speakers who discuss a range of topics.

Upcoming meeting schedule:

FEBRUARY

Marshfield

Where: Hope Lodge, 611 W. Doege St., Marshfield.
When: 6-7:30 p.m., Feb. 18
Additional information: No speaker. Meeting open to questions and discussion.

Weston

Where: The Renaissance, assisted living community, 4602 Barbican Ave., Weston.
When: 6:30-8 p.m., Feb. 18
Additional information: Jayna Hintz from the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum will work with the group to make a therapeutic art project. Learn the benefits of using art as therapy.

MARCH

Marshfield

Where: Hope Lodge, 611 W. Doege St., Marshfield.
When: 6-7:30 p.m., March 18
Additional information: Nancy Schapperkotter will discuss journaling and its benefits.

Weston

Where: The Renaissance, assisted living community, 4602 Barbican Ave., Weston.
When: 6:30-8 p.m., March 18
Additional information: Kelly O’Heron, a dietitian with Nutrition TLC, will discuss healthful foods. Kelly will prepare a healthful snack and provide tips on how eating the right food improves health.

APRIL

Marshfield

Where: Hope Lodge, 611 W. Doege St., Marshfield.
When: 6-7:30 p.m., April 15.
Additional information: Betsy Tanenbaum, director of New Visions Gallery, will lead an art project.
Weston

Where: The Renaissance, assisted living community, 4602 Barbican Ave., Weston.
When: 6:30-8 p.m. p.m., April 15
Additional information: Master gardener Nancy Fisker will discuss gardening tips and techniques, and how to enjoy the fruits of your labor all summer long.
