Provider Bio down arrow

A lifelong fascination with the field of medicine drove Dr. Shalini Ravi to a career as a physician.

“The human body has always fascinated me,” Dr. Ravi said. “Growing up, I was just so intrigued by the work of doctors and nurses and how they can literally heal people who are sick.”

She enjoys the variety of patients she’s able to see in Med-Peds and thinks the field is the perfect fit for her skillset and interests.

“I wanted to work with both children and adults,” she said. “I’m a person that really enjoys relating to patients and building relationships.”

She said the most important part of patient care is helping patients feel comfortable in the medical setting.

“Patients want providers who are friendly and approachable,” Dr. Ravi said. “That’s how I strive to be with each of my patients.”

She added that trust is essential between doctors and patients, and she works to build that trust with every patient.

Dr. Ravi earned her medical degree from Father Muller Medical College in Mangalore, India. She completed an internship and residency through Marshfield Medical Center’s Internal Medicine – Pediatrics Residency Program.

In her free time, Dr. Ravi loves traveling with her husband, cooking and gardening.
