Rebecca Morris worked for years as a
registered nurse, but felt she was missing
some tools to work with patients. She
decided to pursue social work and earned
her master’s degree at the University of
Wisconsin-Madison. She is now a licensed
clinical social worker.
“People present every day with
comprehensive problems, often with
surprising needs and concerns,” she noted.
“I wanted to be better prepared to help
them.” Although she’s a generalist, seeing
patients of all ages with a wide variety of
needs, she prefers helping people with
complicated, chronic medical conditions
and diseases.
“Sometimes life surprises us, but I feel I have the capacity to learn, change and adapt,” she said. “I’m receptive to all types of people at all stages of life.” As an example of her adaptability, she once took a trip to France, where she successfully did all the driving, despite a different and more aggressive driving style than she was used to.
She is married and has three grown children.
