Dr. McCauley’s top priorities when she cares
for children are to make them comfortable
and to provide the best treatments for lung
and breathing problems.
As a pediatric pulmonologist, she sees
children of all ages for a variety of lung
ailments. Asthma and cystic fibrosis are
the two most common chronic diseases
Dr. McCauley treats.
Dr. McCauley strives to make children
comfortable during visits to Marshfield
Clinic, and wants parents to ask any
questions they may have. As a mother,
she realizes nothing is more important to
parents than their children. Chronic disease
in children can be tough not only on the
child, but the whole family.
“I want parents to know I’m listening to their concerns and trying to manage their children’s illness in a way that also fits into the family’s lifestyle,” she said.
Dr. McCauley, a Stevens Point native, earned her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She then completed her pediatric residency and pulmonary fellowship at the University of Minnesota department of pediatrics.
She enjoys spending time with her husband, Joel McCauley, M.D., and their three daughters. Dr. McCauley also has an interest in outdoor sports, including running and biking.
